In June 2013, Air North, the airline with the authentic Yukon hospitality and a commitment to a world-class customer experience, made its inaugural flight into Kelowna. The event was held on the apron of the runway and the plane was saluted on arrival by two fire trucks. The Westbank First Nations Chief with drummers and singers welcomed the arriving guests. A Gold-Rush themed décor and entertainment completed the experience.
